Activision has announced even more songs that will be included in the set list Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The emphasis on master tracks (fancy way of saying original artists/recordings) has been met with eager praise from fans. The variety of artists being represented in the game, across labels is really something, in light of the backwards stranglehold most labels have traditionally kept on their libraries of music.

The song list for Guitar Hero III is a thing of beauty, a more eclectic list of songs has never been seen in a game before. Of course with new features such as the multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, boss battles, a and a bevy unlockable content the game is shaping up for its battle of the bands with its cousin Rock Band.
Guitar Hero players will also be able to shred with new wireless guitar controllers available for each platform, including exclusive Gibson Guitar's Les Paul model for the Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3. PlayStation 2 gamers get a real treat with the new wireless Gibon Kramer guitar. Now if only they made an adapter that let us play our PS2 guitars on our PS3s. Activision, if you really want to bury Rock Band, don't make us buy a new guitar for the PS3.
