Upcoming high school seniors are invited to explore the creative arts, meet fellow young creative people and learn about new design technologies during special Summer Studio Workshops scheduled June 22-25 at The Art Institute of California – San Francisco (www.aicasf.aii.edu).

The four-day, hands-on workshops will be held for students interested in learning more about video game development, computer animation, graphic design, fashion design, interior design and web design. Students can choose one of five different workshops. Depending on their interests, they will explore graphic design basics and create digital publications, learn the fundamentals and technologies of video game production using 3D animation software, create an interactive website using video and authoring tools, learn the basics of 3D modeling and texture mapping for computer animation, draw and create a wearable fashion, or sketch and plan interior design spaces. In addition to classes taught by faculty members, attendees will enjoy special events and sightseeing in San Francisco with fellow high school students. Chaperoned housing will be available.

The Summer Studio Workshops are designed for high school students to have fun, meet other creative people, and get a sense of what it’s like to study and work in some of the most exciting design-related fields today.

To register, students should call 888-493-3261 or 415-865-0198, email aisfadm@aii.edu or visit www.aicasf.aii.edu for more information about the school. The workshops are open to high school students graduating in 2004-2005. The cost for the four-day workshop is $275. Interested students are invited to apply by the May 31 registration deadline, however applications will be accepted after that on a space-available basis.
