The bestselling games of January 2013 were nearly identical to those of December 2012 with only one new game in the entire top ten. January has always been one of the lightest months of the year but this made two months in a row where there was nothing really new to talk about. Surprise, surprise, "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" remained the #1 bestselling PS3 game for the third month in a row. Sequels, reboots, and sports games continued to dominate. We're hoping for a shake-up in February although it's likely that "Aliens: Colonial Marines," "Dead Space 3," and "Crysis 3" will continue the trend of familiar titles selling well. Go buy the great "Ni No Kuni: The Wrath of the White Witch." We need one original IP in the top ten.
