Few franchises have started as memorably as "Dead Space," with each of the Electronic Arts & Visceral Games collaborations to date landing in my personal top five for their respective years. It was only a matter of time before the series dipped and the sad news is that that time has come sooner than later. "Dead Space 3," now in stores for the Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, is an undeniable disappointment, a title that feels too much like a retread only with the weaknesses of the first two games highlighted and many of the strengths discarded.
