Disney's "Epic Mickey" was a surprising hit, both commercially and creatively, proving that family games need not be dumbed down for younger players. By tapping into the long history of the Mouse House, the game found a fertile playground in which both adults and their kids could play. There was reason to hope that the co-op-heavy "Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two" would improve upon that game and be one of the most notable family games of the 2012 holiday season.
