Happy Halloween, PlayStationites!
But since it won't be dark for a bit, I've got time for this week's creepy games, Jericho and Manhunt 2.
Clive Barker's Jericho may not dethrone Resistance: Fall of Man as the king of PS3 shooters, but it is a solid entry with lots of paranormal gross-ness to keep you in the Halloween spirit.
Manhunt 2, the new, censored version, is still plenty violent and gruesome, but the scariest thing about it is all the bad press.
" Child advocates upset over 'Manhunt 2'" was the headline that torqued me the most. One has to wonder, why? It is not a product for children. It was never intended for children. It carries an M rating so children can't buy it... so why the outrage?
Can you imagine if every rated R movie came out with such absurd media coverage? "Child advocates upset over 'The Darjeeling Limited '" - silly isn't it? Word of advice. Don't buy your children M rated games. Follow that and you will no longer need to be "upset" about them.
So what am I truly afraid of this Halloween? Censors and knee-jerk advocates with pitchforks getting their way with the videogame industry. It gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it.

I get tried of people only complaining about video games, if a child play manhunt 2 its the parents fault and of course there are going to parents that allow it, but those are the same ones letting them watching saw and other horror movies which is more graphic anyway because it looks more real. I can’t stand people trying to censor games.
