Guitar Hero 1980's (Hair Hero?) Edition Revealed

Friday January 12, 2007
According to Joystiq, EGM (212) has details on the previously unannounced Guitar Hero: 1980s Edition for the PS2. GH '80s is supposed to drop sometime this spring. Usually we get a lot more than a three month warning, but EGM is pretty reliable about this stuff. If it's anything like Guitar Hero II, we can expect more than just new (old) songs but also new game play modes and features.

Actually, since it’s titled “Guitar Hero II: Expansion Pack Name Here”, it will most likely be exactly like GH2, except with different songs. Probably it will have less songs overall since it focuses solely on one decade of music, but who knows. Considering the incredibly short turnaround time and the name however, I wouldn’t expect any new gameplay modes. Perhaps some minor tweaks and additions, if any.

Hahaha, I’m can’t wait to see the official track listing for this game. Hopefully we will see some stuff from maybe GTA VC that would be pretty sweet. And maybe some Hall and Oats and if we’re really lucky, we can play “Video Killed The Radio Star” Although it was released in 1979.
