Sony Claims it Will Still be Able to Ship 2 Million PS3's by Year's End and 6 Million by March '07
Sony President Ryoji Chubachi said at a press meeting, "it is true that it took us some time to bring the PS3 to mass production as blue laser availability worked as a bottleneck, but 2 million and 6 million are within our reach."
Even if they fall short, there should be more units available than analysts predicted (many stating that there would only be 400k available by January). This is very good news for the majority of folks who have yet to land a PlayStation 3.
