Gameing mega-retailers, GameStop and EB Games (same company, different malls), have listed Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for pre-order on both the PSP and PS3. The "Pre-Release" date for the PlayStation versions of Oblivion is November 17th, 2006. Hmmm, could that mean that Oblivion is a PS3 launch title?
Bethesda Softworks will not confirm nor deny the release of the game on the PS3 or PSP. They accuse GameStop of unfounded speculation. But being that they won't deny it, and being that GameStop will take your pre-order money... one can only hope. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is possibly the best Western RPG out there, if it were on the PS3, there'd be no question that it'd be the system to beat for role playing games.
