Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) power adapter recall

Sony is recalling the power adapter for the new slim PlayStation 2s (PS2) that were manufactured between certain dates. The suspect power adapters may overheat and cause injury. The US recall covers approximately 843,000 PS2 power adapters. This recall is not limited to the US, however. If you have a slim black PS2, please visit www.ps2ac.com and click the appropriate language (not the country links) to determine if your power adapter is covered under the recall. US residents can also visit www.us.playstation.com/Adaptor/ to check if their PS2 adapter is affected by the recall.
